#What managed variables do

Managed presentation variables let an approved presentation show a different local value on each player, such as a location code, display label or content choice.

#Set and keep a value

  1. 1
Select one player and the approved presentation.
  2. 2
Open its variable values in the release workflow.
  3. 3
Enter the approved value exactly as supplied.
  4. 4
Choose the keep or manage option only when BrightBridge should preserve that intent.
  5. 5
Run a fresh dry run and confirm the displayed value before applying.
Topic 4 of 5

#Release a managed value

Releasing management stops BrightBridge enforcing the saved local value. A later presentation release can then use the presentation's normal behaviour.

Topic 5 of 5

#Variables and rollback

A content rollback restores saved presentation content. It does not necessarily reverse the separate intent for managed player values. Review those values after every rollback and verify what the player displays.
